GET TO KNOW THE GEMSTONES: BRONZITE, JASPER, RHODONITE

I’m a nature-loving, organic-type girly at heart, so I’ve always been naturally drawn to adornments that feel earthy, raw, organic, and connected to the natural world.
As you look through the collections, you’ll notice that I come back to certain gemstones again and again - they’ve become some of my favorites — not only because of how beautiful they are, but because of the character they bring to a hat.
BRONZITE
To me, Bronzite feels like the gemstone version of a beautifully broken-in pair of boots — understated, sophisticated, and made for adventure. It has that perfect sun-baked, desert-meets-open-range kind of beauty. Its rich chocolate and bronze tones, often with a subtle metallic shimmer, make it feel incredibly luxe while still being earthy and rugged.
It works beautifully for both cowboys and cowgirls because it has a strong, neutral color palette that feels masculine, feminine, and completely Western all at once. It’s the kind of stone that doesn’t need to shout to make a statement.

JASPER
With its earthy colors, organic patterns, and variations that can resemble desert landscapes, canyon walls, and mountains, Jasper makes a beautiful adornment for a Western hat.
Because Jasper occurs in so many different colors and a variety of patterns, every piece can feel completely unique. Jasper can be bold and rustic, or subtle, sophisticated, and almost painterly. The individuality is one of my favorite things about using Jasper in hat bands.
It also has a way of making a hat feel collected - almost as though the stone was discovered somewhere along the way during a road trip or a ranch day.
From a style perspective, Jasper can take a traditional Western hat and make it feel more elevated and one-of-a-kind without making it feel overly decorated. It is earthy luxury in the best possible way.
RHODONITE
Rhodonite shows up as ultra-femme. Its beautiful rosy pinks, blush tones, and natural black or gray veining create a gorgeous contrast against traditional Western neutrals. Rhodonite on a Western hat feels unexpectedly luxurious — soft and feminine, yet earthy, without trying too hard.
I especially love Rhodonite for the cowgirl who wants something that feels distinctly hers. It’s pretty without being overly sweet, feminine without feeling delicate, and unique without losing that authentic Western spirit.
